What Swedish Massage Does for Your Body
Swedish massage uses five hands-on techniques: long gliding strokes, kneading, rhythmic tapping, friction, and gentle vibration. The long strokes move blood back toward the heart and support circulation. The kneading works into muscle fibers that have been gripping for days. It is less intense than deep tissue work, which makes it a good starting point if you are new to massage or your body runs sensitive. Thorough without being uncomfortable.
What we see in the suite, week after week: less stiffness through the neck and shoulders, better sleep that often starts the same night, and a calm that lasts well past the session. One thing that sets the experience apart is that every Swedish massage here is paired with red light therapy. So while your muscles release, the red light supports cellular rejuvenation at the same time. You leave lighter in more ways than one.
You Don't Have to Be in Pain to Need This
A lot of people hesitate to book because nothing is technically wrong. There was no injury, no single bad day, just shoulders that sit a little higher than they used to and sleep that never feels like enough. That is exactly who Swedish massage is for. Tension from ordinary life builds quietly, and stretching or one good night rarely clears it. You do not need a reason that sounds serious. If your body feels heavy, stuck, or wound up, that is reason enough to come in, and you will not have to justify it to anyone here.
Worried It'll Feel Like a Rushed Spa Visit
If you have ever felt like a number on a schedule, hurried in and flipped out of the room before you had settled, that worry is fair. It is also the thing we built against. Your massage happens in a private suite, not a curtained-off corner. When the work is done, you stay as long as you need. No one knocks to turn the room. The studio is owned and overseen by Oge Ogundu, DNP, MSN, RN, whose whole approach comes from years in healthcare: the care is unhurried on purpose, because a body that feels rushed never fully lets go.
You Don't Want to Be Talked Into a Package
Plenty of places hand you a pressure pitch on visit one, a membership, a tier, a bundle you did not ask about. We do not do that. There is one Swedish massage experience, paired with red light therapy, and every client gets the same private suite and the same attention. We will help you think through how often to come in based on how your body actually feels, not on a quota. If a longer or shorter session fits you better, we will say so. The recommendation is always about you, never about the sale.
What Your First Visit Looks Like
- You fill out a short intake form online when you book, covering any areas of concern and anything we should know.
- When you arrive at 1630 W Prosper Trail, we walk you to a private suite and go over your preferences: pressure, focus areas, music or quiet.
- Your session begins with long, flowing strokes to ease tension, then moves through the deeper techniques. Sessions run 60, 90, or 120 minutes, each paired with red light therapy.
- Afterward, you stay in the suite as long as you need. Drink extra water on the way out; your muscles just released a lot, and hydration helps the calm hold longer.
First-time clients often tell us they did not expect to relax that completely. That is the response we are after, and it is the standard for everyone who walks in, not a premium room or an upgraded tier. If you want to extend the recovery, pairing your massage with a compression therapy session helps flush everything your muscles just released. Both are part of our wellness center in Prosper.

Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about Swedish massage at 360 IV Infusion and Wellness
How should I prepare for my first Swedish massage?
Fill out your intake form online when you book. Drink water beforehand and skip a heavy meal right before. Wear something comfortable you can change out of easily. When you arrive at 1630 W Prosper Trail, we talk through where you hold tension and how much pressure you like before anything begins. That conversation shapes the whole session.
Do I need to be in pain to book a Swedish massage?
No. You do not need an injury or a specific complaint. Swedish massage is for anyone carrying tension from ordinary life, the kind that stretching and rest never quite clear. If you feel stiff, wound up, or just off, that is reason enough. There is no doctor's note required to book.
What is the red light therapy that comes with the massage?
Every Swedish massage here is paired with red light therapy at no separate booking. While your muscles are loose and your body is already relaxed, the red light supports cellular rejuvenation and helps soften the look of fine lines. It is built into the session, not sold as an add-on.
How long are sessions and what do they cost?
Swedish with red light therapy runs 60 minutes for $200, 90 minutes for $250, or 120 minutes for $340. There are no packages to buy and no membership to join. You book the length that fits, and we help you decide which one makes sense based on how your body feels.
How often should I come in?
Most people feel a difference after the first session, but lasting change builds with a rhythm. If stress and poor sleep are constant, every two weeks until your body responds, then monthly, works well. If you are generally feeling good, every six to eight weeks keeps tension from stacking up. We help you find a cadence that fits your life and budget.
